Aaron Boyd

Aaron has over 30 years of experience in international strategy for the technology sector, primarily in telecommunications and cybersecurity. Prior to founding Welchman Keen, Aaron was President, International at Silent Circle, a leading Geneva-based company providing encrypted communications hardware and software.

As Chief Strategy Officer of ABI Research, Aaron led the company into the cybersecurity space and built a collaborative relationship with the ITU, resulting in the development of the Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) and the ITU Regional cyberDrill programme, which was provided training to over 120 governments.

Aaron was a fellow at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP), where he co-directed courses on National Cybersecurity Policy and Cyber Defence for over 30 governments. Aaron was awarded the ITU Silver Medal for his contribution to cybersecurity.

Welchman Keen has played an active role in providing assistance to the Government of Tonga through cybersecurity training, capacity building and policy advisory. Welchman Keen has also worked to resolve related connectivity issues and challenges facing Tonga today. The company continues to show its commitment to the Pacific Islands and I recommend them as a partner to other governments and organisations.
